A few years ago I was the wedding photographer at a large wedding being held at a mansion on Summit Avenue. I was approached by a few families asking how much I would charge to take a family portrait. I already had an agreement with the bride and groom, and did not feel right about charging wedding guests for this additional service. I explained that I would be happy to take their family portrait in this beautiful setting, but that they should contact the bride and groom for the photos.

I now offer this as an additional service at weddings. What better opportunity is there to take memorable family portraits in a nice setting. Everyone is there; they are all dressed up and ready to smile. Offering a great deal on family portraits for wedding guests will build your prospective client list for the time when they need a photographer for a wedding, graduation or other special event in their family.
